heeeey, hi, helllo
I haven’t made what I would consider a decent personal post for a few days…
I’ve been completely tied down with schoolwork, sporting commitments & other fun lifey stuff!!
Unfortunately, this post has to be kind of half-completed because it’s 7.20am and I have to type out a 1200 word essay I wrote out last night & then write the intro and conclusion (which will actually be totally fine because they are like my specialty! hehe NEEERD IT OUT Y’ALL!)
Anywhoooo…
I have that draft due today (I was meant to hand it in yesterday but was away at more X-country trials!)
Speaking of whhhhhich:
I CAME 7TH!!!!!! Which is absolutely craaaaaazay! (Such a bummer though because only the top 6 go to the State Championships - I am however a team reserve so fingers crossed that one of the other girls won’t be able to make it! teeehee!)
So yay, errrrrm.
Other exciting things: I made a ton of new friends (meeting like-minded people & instantly connecting = utter bliss!)
AAAAAND, the town which the race was in has the most awesome grocery store (it’s also ridiculously cheaply priced because of the town’s low socio-economy!)
So my stepdad and I bought majority of our fortnightly food there…
I WILL BE POSTING MY SHOPPING LIST LATER TODAY - get excited ;)
Hope everything is going extremely splendidly for all of you gorgeous peeeeeeps! :) :) :)
(as a random side note I have these cute inspirational quote cards sitting on my desk & the one on display atm is ‘FOLLOW YOUR BLISS’ - it’s reaaally relevant to my life right now, and it’s such a cute quote! lalalalalalalaaaa… I’m being so strange, bye bye!)
Your head’s like mine, like ALL our heads – big enough to contain every god and devil there ever was. Big enough to hold the weight of oceans and the turning of stars. Whole UNIVERSES fit in there! But what do we choose to keep in this miraculous cabinet? Little broken things. Sad trinkets that we play with over and over. The world turns our key and we play the same little tune again and again, and we think that tune is all we are…
A couple of things to re-cap on…
#1 Stayed home from school - ickkkky illness, all better now. YAY!
#2 My phone ceased working on Saturday & thus I was unable to call/text my bestfriend for her birthday :’( [i’ll make it up to you E, I promise!]
#3 Went for an awesome walk with my mumma tonight in the CBD - got honked at three times, it was madness [I was looking especially stylish in long cargo pants, a pink tee, a black puffer vest with faux fur & joggers ;)] lololol.
#4 My day was perfecttttly calming (so good to re-charge)
#5 Not sure if anyone else from my ‘real life’ follows this minus my bestie, so I have to be careful what I say… but the science comp. on Saturday was utterly ugh!
#6 Watched an entire season of ‘Scrubs’ today on my laptop (lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvve the show so much. Elliot Reid = my girl crush. would marry her in a split second. shadayyum!)
#7 Another x country race tomorrow. yayyyzers. not sure what the results will be but I’m suuuuuper duper pumped/excited/giddy/anticipating the relief which will greet me at the finish line!
#8 Life’s good…. I’m now mentally/emotionally/physically/spiritually back where I need to be. The all conquering, constantly happy, giggling, smiler is baaaaaaaaaack.
(anyone who needs cheering up… my ask is waiting!)
sooo…
it’s currently raining, it’s friday night, and I’m sitting at home staring at blank word document which I have to fill with 1,200 words by Monday.
It’s times like these the old me would assume the fetal position, think of all the things wrong with my life, scold myself for the 600 calories I did actually consume throughout the course of the day.
But - I’m not that person anymore, I am so ridiculously far from it, I’m beaming just thinking of how far I’ve come!
To pep myself up & add a little more happiness to my evening I’m compiling a list of all the great things I plan for the weekend/things I’m eternally grateful for:
- The art of list making (never ever ever ever ever fails to put me in a fantastical mood)
- The yoga class I attended last night with my mumma (the instructor is so friendly & taught this brilliant mental technique for coping with stress - I’ll post more on that later)
- I’m attending an academic competition tomorrow, it should be really fun… AND I found out today whilst the ‘judges’ are calculating the scores there’s going to be this special morning tea put on and all of us ‘contestants’ can socialise… yayayayayayaya (love oppurtunities to meet new people… especially those of the male kind! hahaha)
- Going to T2 with my mummy after the comp tomoz! (heavennnnnn)
- Hopefully getting a full leg wax as well as underarm! (yay, legs have been six weeks in the making and underarms 2 - don’t freak I’m fairhaired!)
- Car trips with my mum are honestly the best times of my life… (we have such fun, we listen to the One Direction album on repeat and sing at the top of our lungs and I always change the words and make my mum laugh… I do an awesome rendition called ‘What Makes Claire Beautiful’ and ‘Claire’s Got that One Thing’ lololol.
- I’m sipping on the most delicious tea in the history of all tea
- Bed socks are comfy
- My cats love me!
